This room wasn't too bad before Staging, the picture is very colorful, the sofa is in fairly good condition.  Had this "before" picture been the one to be displayed on the MLS, it's unlikely someone in the market for a higher end home would have bothered to look at this one.   Appearance is everything in this "buyers" market.

Before Staging, the fireplace is not a focal point in this room, in fact it is lost against the lack of color and accessories.  By strategically placing a few pieces of furniture and accessories,  the fireplace becomes the focus and the room looks better and more inviting.

Before, what a fantastically large room for the teenager who lived here.  However, for selling, we needed to attract attention to the size of this room and not the "stuff".  After Staging, it could not have been any cuter.  What a difference!  Wouldn't you agree?
